Styx: Shards of Darkness is a professional project created by Cyanide Studio. The game was release on March 2017.

Stealth and RPG.

 

Pitch :

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a Stealth game with RPG features, where the player controls the famous goblin from the universe of "Of Orc And Men".

 

Target :

My work for Styx: Shards of Darkness

My role :

For Styx I am Level Designer, in charge of Level Building, Balancing, Blocking Design, Patrols Design, Scripting and

3D placeholder modeling.

My Levels :

I am the main level Designer on 2 levels, responsible of blocking, scripting, quest design, patrols and debug.

Prototyping Puzzles :

I have prototyped two puzzles in Blueprint :

The memory puzzle for the secret daguer

The mirror puzzle for the sacred daguer

Level Scripting :

You can see below few examples of situation or need which I scripted for Styx :

3rd Mission - The dialogue system based on random

Tutorial - The learning situation for the clone

6th Mission - The Strength trial with the moving lights

8th Mission - The footprints apparition depending

on the actual flow

Additionnal work :

Then I want to mention that :

- I was in charge to place all lootable items for crafting and all tokens for the Stealth Emblem.

- I was in charge to fix save issues in any level blueprint.

- I was in charge to fix multiplayer issues in any level blueprint.
